Life in Relationship is founded and run by Phil and Sue a Perth-based couple married for over 37 years. Their story is one of ordinary individuals with an extraordinary commitment to faith, each other, and their community.
Personal
Both coming to faith in their late teens, Phil and Sue have raised a Christ-focused family together. Now with four adult children (all of whom are married and believers), they’re also blessed with nine wonderful grandchildren.
Phil and Sue openly share the trials and tribulations of their early marriage; a time marked by hurt, helplessness, and a sense of failure. Yet, through these challenges — and by God's grace — they found the drive to support others in relationship distress, offering practical help and a message of hope.
Professional
A commitment to serving others is evident in Phil and Sue’s early work, where they spent three years in Youth Crisis Accommodation and Intervention. In this challenging environment, they offered support to over 900 young individuals, providing guidance, care, and prayers, making a significant difference in many lives.
Additionally, Phil and Sue have been pillars in the Christian community, pastoring for 34 years across local congregations and in city-wide roles at Kingdomcity.

Phil brings over 15 years of experience in executive roles to Life in Relationship and currently serves as Vice President of ACCWA. His skills in team leadership, governance, and community program development are complemented by expertise in training, pastoral support, and public engagement. Alongside executive achievements, Phil has been a guest speaker on the Sonshine FM drive show for four years and now hosts the weekly Sunday show, Relationship RE-VIVE.
